Well, that didn't take long. Feedly just announced its new Google-free back end this morning, and two of the top RSS apps in Google Play have been updated to support it. We might make it through the demise of Google Reader after all.
Press (screen above) has been bumped to version 1.3.2, and made a few changes in addition to adding Feedly Cloud support. Here's everything:
- Added Feedly Cloud support
- Fixed Feedbin read articles syncing issue
- Fixed Feed Wrangler timestamp issue (manually sign back in to reset)
- Fixed several crashes
As for gReader, it's now on version 3.3.0. All this update brought is Feedly support and a few bug fixes. This is one of the most popular Reader apps, so it's nice to see it keeping up.
The future is now. Go and get the updates so you can be ready for the Feedly change over.
