Scarcely a day has passed since the Google Play Edition Galaxy S4 and HTC One went on sale, and their software bits are already floating around online. You can grab the files to get the new red SunBeam live wallpaper, boot animation, and updated camera app on your device. These are only confirmed working on AOSP-based devices, and 4.1.2 TouchWiz in the case of the camera. Do be careful!
The new boot animation is a group of spinning Google-color dots. It's a nice-looking animation and it's not hard to install. Place the ZIP in /system/media, and then fix permissions rw-r-r- with a root file explorer and reboot. That means User get read and write, Group get read, and Others get read. The camera app has the updated finger-friendly setting menu, and probably some other tweaks. Everything should work with the exception of editing pics in the Gallery. Flash this file (18MB) in recovery:
The live wallpaper can be dropped in /system/app. Then fix the permissions to rw-r-r- just like above. Reboot, and you're done. The file (60 KB) is right here:
